Those composite curing lights marketed to the dental professionals by the dental supply manufacturers (i.e. 3M, Ivoclar) cost 10 to 30 times more expensive but really functions no better than this cheap unit. And with not much better warranty.

kiuete233: Still works well. Battery started to fail a bit 4 years after so it is a good product lasts a long time. As long as you can get a new battery it can last a lot more

koepke: The curing tip has the LED part built into the tip so when seated into the handle, it completes a contact with the battery pack. This seems to be a better design than the lights that have a curing tip that is a glass rod. It just has a sturdier feel and makes me believe that it won't just snap off.
